I'm an artist who's style is realistic while slightly impressionistic, I aim to infuse my art with a smattering of whimsy.  My primary medium is acrylic paint because I love the bright colors and permanence of the medium.  I paint in a myriad of themes and accept commissions on most subject matter, one of my biggest sellers are my pet portraits.  My portfolio pages are categorized by themes, the paintings vary from very small 2.75x2.75", to as large as 48x48".  Most of my paintings are on canvas, but some are on materials such as:  rock, hardboard, glass, and more.

For as long as I can remember I've always wanted to be an artist.  When I was a young child I thought that I had to grow up and earn the title before I could officially say, "I am an artist."  In school, if I could do an artistic project instead of a written report, I was ecstatic.  I now realize that I've always been an artist. My approach to life is often "outside the box."   I'm the happiest when creating or desigining something, making instead of buying, teaching others, and of course spending hours lost in my painting projects. Selling my paintings is the most satisfying part of the process, if I can give pleasure to others through my art, it's the absolute best!

My faith in God has directed my life and my artistic journey.   I've come to realize that God is the original artist, every painting I've created is possible because God has filled our world with beauty.

Canada College AA in Art

San Jose University BA in Art, painting concentration

Over the years I've had paintings in shows: Canada College, Niles Canyon Art Gallery, part of a two person show at The Gilroy Arts Alliance, Woodside Day of the Horse, the Williamson County Fair, to name a few.
I've painted on stage, hung my paintings in local businesses and displayed in churches.  In 2019-2021 many of my paintings were displayed and sold in the gallery: JCO's Art Haus.  In both 2018 and 2019 my artwork won the poster contest for the Gilroy Rodeo and was used for advertising and on clothing.

I've taught drawing and painting classes to children and adults, groups classes and private lessons, I've run paint parties, worked at an after school art program for 2 years, taught art at Academic Antics for 7 years, taught art classes at my church, and taught art classes for over 20 years out of my home.
